Jason’s passion for construction started with his work at a large General Contractor in Denver, CO.  Throughout his career, he has worked with a large national REIT, General Contractor, and many years as an Owner’s Representative and Construction Manager representing clients across various business sectors.

Jason has over 16 years of construction management experience overseeing a variety of projects, including ground-up large box retail, Class A office tenant improvements, multi family ground-up and remodels, high rise office build-outs, medical office and hospital tenant improvements, residential build outs, restaurant remodel and capital improvements, warehouse ground-up, and University ground-up facilities, totaling more than 125 projects valued in excess of $500 million.

Jason has expertise in all facets of project management, including pre-construction activities, procurement, permitting, estimating, contract negotiation, budgeting, contract reconciliation and decommissioning and relocation. Jason specializes in high-level organization, efficient communication, and day-to-day project management operations.

Jason’s most recent project experience includes the design and construction of over 250,000 s.f. of corporate tenant improvements for a San Diego based technology firm. Jason’s past experience includes managing the construction of a low income 30,000 ft.², 5-story, 44-unit apartment building and managing the design development of a large City of San Diego redevelopment project estimated at $82M.  The project design included a new bypass bridge, underground parking structure, plaza fountain, and various infrastructure upgrades throughout.

During the initial stages of a project, Jason’s scope of services includes due diligence, scheduling, budgeting, design team selection, design management, value engineering, estimating, constructability review, entitlements and permitting. Once design and permitting are complete, Jason then handles bidding and management of the construction process, including construction observation, change order review, budget management, document control, schedule monitoring and recovery planning, FF&E installation management and occupancy.

Jason graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and later received his Construction Management Certification from Colorado State University.

Jason enjoys spending his time outside exploring San Diego with his daughter and friends and family, as well as golfing and working out.
