Chip Stockmeyer has over 15 years of Construction Management experience in the Commercial Real Estate industry. As a Construction Manager, Chip has overseen a variety of project types, including Class A office tenant improvements, ground-up core and shell buildings, Health Care providers/offices, concrete tilt ups, structural retrofits, restaurant/hospitality, historical preservation, San Diego County facilities, Veterans Affairs and Social Security offices and private custom high-end residential projects. Chip has an educational background in Architecture and Planning with an emphasis on Environmental and Sustainable design and holds a LEED AP BD+C Accreditation.
Chip’s role as a Project Manager has spanned from working locally for Southern California General Contractors and a Local Architectural firm to working for National Commercial Real Estate firms. Chip has actively managed projects valued in excess of $250 million while working for both local and national brands such as Union Bank, TIAA-CREF, CBRE, Hyundai, UCSD Health Systems, Red Door Interactive and various law firms.
Chip has expertise in all facets of project management, including pre-construction activities, procurement, permitting, estimating, contract negotiation, budgeting, contract reconciliation and decommissioning and relocation. Chip focuses on specializing in high-level organization, efficient communication and day-to-day project management operations.
During the initial stages of a project, Chip’s scope of services includes due diligence, scheduling, budgeting, design team selection, design management, value engineering, estimating, constructability review, entitlements and permitting. Once design and permitting are complete, Chip then handles bidding and management of the construction process, including construction observation, change order review, budget management, document control, schedule monitoring and recovery planning, FF&E installation management and occupancy.
Chip graduated from The University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Architectural Design and from the University of Michigan master’s Program. He is an active member with the US Green Building Council and volunteers for Rady Children’s Charitable Foundation. Chip lives with his two sons in Cardiff By the Sea. He enjoys hiking, running, beach days, golfing and spending time with friends and family.
