SERVICES PROVIDED
Here’s How We Did It
Gilliland Construction Management provided full project management services, including general contractor selection, design management, permitting, bidding and construction. Scope of work included interior demolition and remodel of both the 5-story, 163,000 s.f. office tower and the 3-story, 168,000 s.f. printing press building. The office tower was taken back to a cold shell and then new HVAC systems, electrical systems, core restrooms and elevator lobbies were built. In addition, the main entrance was relocated, and a new main lobby was constructed to serve the entire campus.
The printing press building had the newspaper printing equipment removed and then a portion of the building slab and roof removed to create a new interior courtyard. The central plant was upgraded, and new HVAC systems and electrical systems were added. In addition, core restrooms we constructed, and windows were cut into the existing brick building façade to add natural light into the building and allow tenants to look over the newly constructed common area courtyard.
