Gilliland CM would like for everyone to get to know our team! This month, we highlight one of our Project Managers, Jason Berge.
What do you do in your spare time? I try to get outside with my daughter and enjoy as much of the beautiful San Diego.
What is your favorite family vacation? A recent trip to Maui with my daughter, and it was incredible. It was fun watching a 5 yr. old snorkel with turtles in the ocean, fly over waterfalls in a helicopter – all which were firsts for her.
What led you to this career? I have always had a passion for construction & home improvement, growing up my parents flipped a few houses we lived in. I also attribute my passion for building from my Dad, who is a hobbyist woodworker.
What projects are you currently working on? Right now, I am working on a 60k S.F TI project for UCSD’s Extension. It is an exciting collaboration that will highlight UCSD Downtown presence. It contains some exciting technology and performance spaces.
What’s one thing that surprised you about working at Gilliland CM? The openness and collaboration that goes on between our team. Everyone brings a unique perspective and it’s really an open door environment. There’s a ton of combined experience and I can reach out to anyone with any questions I have.
